Chiefs HC gives update on Patrick Mahomes' injury recovery

When it comes to professional athletes recovering from injuries, no news is usually good news.

USA TODAY Sports

That should bode well forKansas City ChiefsquarterbackPatrick Mahomes, who is working his way back from a torn ACL and LCL. WhenChiefshead coachAndy Reidspoke to reporters at the annual league meeting on March 31, he gave something of a there-is-no-update update on his star quarterback.

Asked about Mahomes' timeline to return from injury, Reid said he'll leave it to the medical team to determine whether or not the quarterback is "ahead of schedule" in his recovery.

"I'm going to defer to the experts on that," Reid said when asked if Mahomes would be limited for training camp. "So, if he's good to go, he'll go. If he's not, we'll manage that. So, we'll just cross it as we go. Everybody's different. Everybody heals different. Everybody's injuries are a little bit different. We don't have to put him in a category. We'll see, see where it goes."

Reid added that it's been all "positive" for the passer during his rehab.

Jaguars to play home games in 2027 at Orlando's Camping World Stadium

Jaguars Orlando Football

The Jaguars will play most of their 2027 home games in Orlando after NFL owners rubber-stamped a proposal Tuesday that has been years in the making and essentially a done deal for months.

Owners voted unanimously at the league's annual meetings in Arizona to allow the team to temporary relocate next year's home slate during the final stages of a $1.4 billion stadium renovation.

Jacksonville started searching for a home away from home when it unveiled plans for a "stadium of the future" in 2023.

The Jags considered playing at Daytona International Speedway, at Florida Field in Gainesville and at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Camping World was always the front-runner. And it became a no-brainer when Orlando leaders cleared a $10 million sports-incentive package to help land the Jaguars earlier this year. The aging stadium also is undergoing a $400 million facelift — a project that will give the venue a modernized, NFL-friendly infrastructure.

"I look at it as an exciting opportunity," Jaguars general manager James Gladstone said. "You have a chance to breach a region of the state that you otherwise wouldn't have the luxury of doing."

The Jaguars are scheduled to play 10 home games in 2027, including a preseason exhibition. But not all of those will be played in Orlando; Jacksonville can play up to three home games in London that season.

So Orlando is likely to land seven or eight NFL games, including in-state matchups featuring Tampa Bay at Jacksonville and Miami at Jacksonville.

The Jaguars announced plans in February to play consecutive home games in London this fall, with ongoing construction reducing capacity at EverBank Stadium to 42,507 for the 2026 season.

The timing is far from ideal. The Jaguars are coming off a 13-4 season in which they won the AFC South in the first year of a new regime that features Gladstone and coach Liam Coen. Now, they essentially have to go two years without much of a home-field advantage.

"Hard for me to comment that far into the future," Coen said. "I can't go there. The only thing I can say is that I've been there. I coached there when I was at Kentucky; we coached at Camping World.

"I think it will be a cool thing because your average football fan is in Disney a lot. And so I do think it could be a way to connect with a new fan base. Are there going to be challenges and stressors and things that we have to work through? Absolutely. But I do think generally for our brand and for Jacksonville Jaguars football, I don't think it's going to kill us."

For Orlando, hosting the Jaguars — even as a one-year rental — provides the city a chance to showcase its capabilities. After all, Orlando is the largest U.S. media market without an NFL team and has the infrastructure (major airport, hotels, restaurants, nightlife) to handle big events.

Hours after Flower by Edie Parker launched its campaign featuring Amanda Batula, she was removed from the brand's social media

The move came shortly after the Summer House star went public with her relationship with her costar, West Wilson. Batula split from husband Kyle Cooke in January 2026, while Wilson previously dated Batula's friend and costar, Ciara Miller

It's unclear why the brand removed the campaign

The cannabis brand that partnered with Amanda Batula for a 4/20 campaign has removed her from its social media following her bombshell relationship news.

On the morning of Tuesday, March 31, cannabis brand Flower by Edie Parker unveiled its new partnership with the Summer House alum ahead of April 20. The campaign, titled Boobs on Drugs, aimed at "reclaiming the narrative" around cannabis use while "challenging outdated perceptions and celebrating autonomy," and featured several shots of Batula in a T-shirt that read "These are your Boobs on Drugs."

"Flower by Edie Parker presents Batula in a confident, fashion-forward campaign that transforms commentary into empowerment," the brand wrote of Batula in a press release. "Amanda Batula embodies a modern woman who is ambitious, self-assured, and above the noise."

Fifteen percent of the campaign's sales will go towards Last Prisoner's Project, a non-profit committed to cannabis criminal justice reform, the release stated.

However, hours later, Batula and her Summer House costar West Wilson shared a joint statement on their Instagram Stories, confirming that they're romantically involved following weeks of speculation online.

The announcement came just two months after Batula shared that she and her estranged husband Kyle Cooke, whom she wed in September 2021, had split. Wilson briefly dated Batula's friend and Summer House costar Ciara Miller in his first season in 2023.

Shortly after Batula and Wilson went public with their relationship, Flower by Edie Parker removed all campaign materials featuring Batula from its social media and posted a new one with another model wearing the same Boobs on Drugs T-shirt.

It's unclear why the brand removed the campaign.

"A lot can change in a day 👀😮‍💨 ," the brand wrote in its caption. "Same shirt. Same great charity. New model." The brand added that the campaign's sales will still benefit the same organization, Last Prisoner's Project.

Social media users had mixed reactions to the quick switch-up in the brand's comment section. While some accused Flower by Edie Parker of "unprofessional" behavior, others praised it for distancing itself from the "messy" drama between Summer House co-stars.

In their announcement on social media, Batula and Wilson stated "it was never our intention to purposely hide anything," especially "given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show."

"We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected," they wrote, adding, "We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless."

Season 10 of Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams on Peacock the following day.

Jenny McCarthy does not subscribe to the theory that her ex Jim Carrey has been cloned, which the internet suspected following the rubber-faced comedian's appearance at last month's César Awards.

"It was definitely Jim Carrey," the John Tucker Must Die alum confirmed to PEOPLE.

She was struck by his upbeat manner.

"He looked very happy at that award show," McCarthy said at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 26. "And I was happy for him. That's the first thing I noticed. I said, 'Oh wow, Jim looks really happy.'"

McCarthy's husband since 2014, Donnie Wahlberg, commented, "You know, that's the part that, sadly, people miss, We're so obsessed with how he looks that we didn't consider how happy he looked."

In fact, some people were taken aback by the rare appearance, in which they argued that Carrey looked different... too different.

Carrey himself confirmed to Entertainment Weekly through his rep that, yep, that was indeed the star of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Man on the Moon, and other movies accepting an honorary award, which Julia Roberts won last year, at the Paris ceremony.

Alrighty then? Not at all.

Suspicions were so persistent that Gregory Caulier, the general delegate of the César Awards, came out and said that, yep, that was the Grinch himself.

"Jim Carrey's visit has been planned since this summer. From the outset, he was extremely touched by the Academy's invitation," Caulier told Variety. "Eight months of ongoing, constructive discussions. He worked on his speech in French for months, asking me about the exact pronunciation of certain words."

The awards show official added that Carrey "came with his partner, his daughter, his grandson, and 12 close friends and family members. His longtime publicist accompanied him. His old friend Michel Gondry, who has made a film and two series with him, was there, and they were delighted to see each other again."

It was "a non-issue" for Caulier, he said. "I just remember his generosity, his kindness, his benevolence, his elegance."

Carrey's most recent acting appearance was in 2024's Sonic the Hedgehog 3, in which he reprised his role as the evil Dr. Robotnik. He's expected to do it again in the fourth film in the franchise, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters in March 2027.

Brian Wilson's 1964 Ultimate Romantic Classic Was Inspired by a Comforting Moment

Before it became one of the most beloved love songs of the 1960s,Brian Wilson's 1964 classic was born from a quiet, comforting moment that sparked its timeless romance.

Parade

"Don't Worry Baby" came after Wilson faced a frustrating day in the recording studio. He was comforted by his then-girlfriendMarilyn Rovell, perAmerican Songwriter.

The publication quoted Wilson's memoir,Wouldn't It Be Nice: My Own Story, where Wilson shared that Rovell offered support, saying, "Don't worry, baby, it's going to be great."

The songwriter wrote, "I called lyricistRoger Christianand told him I had an idea. He met me one afternoon at my parents' house, where, in one of our last collaborations, we wrote a lush ballad whose title and chorus came directly from Marilyn's comforting words, 'Don't Worry, Baby.' I knew the song was a smash before we finished writing it."

The song's inspiration came from Wilson's favorite song, "Be My Baby" by The Ronettes. After he wrote "Don't Worry Baby," Wilson reportedly offered the song toPhil Spectorfor the girl group to record. However, Spector wasn't interested in a song he didn't have a hand in writing.

Ronnie Spectorreleased her cover of "Don't Worry Baby" in 1999. The song was included on her EPShe Talks to Rainbows, produced byJoey Ramone. Although the song was originally written for her by Wilson in 1964, she did not officially record it until 35 years later.

Wilson found out that Spector finally recorded the song during a 1999 interview withRodney Bingenheimeron KROQ. His reaction is priceless.

In 2002, the twomusiclegends were reunited ahead of Wilson's concert at The Beacon Theater in New York City. They discussed the song and why its important to both of them.

"You wrote 'Don't Worry Baby' right after we recorded 'Be My Baby,'" Spector said. "That song was supposed to be for me, and Phil [Spector] didn't write it, so he said, 'No way.'"

RELATED:1963: Brian Wilson's Most Personal Song Is Still Ranked Among His GreatestSpector exclaimed, "It's such a great [expletive] song! 'Don't Worry Baby' would have been the perfect follow-up to 'Be My Baby.' Instead, he did 'Baby I Love You.'"
