EAGAN, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have finalized their football operations staff under new general manager Nolan Teasley, hiring Trent Kirchner from Seattle and Andrew Healy from Cleveland as assistant GMs.

The Vikings announced the additions Thursday.

Kirchner worked with Teasley for the Seahawks, spending 16 seasons there including the last six years as vice president of player personnel. He worked eight seasons before that as a scout for the Carolina Panthers. The native of Fulda, Minnesota, who played NCAA Division III football in the state at St. John's University will lead the scouting operations and assist Teasley with football operations.

Healy will lead the analytics and research departments after spending 10 seasons with the Browns, including the last seven years as vice president of research and strategy.

Kirchner and Healy will support Teasley and executive vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski in the upper echelon of the personnel department.

Ryan Grigson, the previous assistant GM under general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, left the organization. Adofo-Mensah was fired in January after four seasons on the job. Among the five new hires Teasley made was Ryan Pace as a football advisor. He was general manager of the Chicago Bears from 2015-21 and spent the last four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.

Are you ready to see Jay-Z like never before?

On Thursday, June 25, HBO released the official teaser for an eight-part documentary series titled JAŸ-Z IN 8, which is set to debut on HBO and HBO Max in the fall.

The series will feature legendary producer Rick Rubin sitting down with the rapper "to discuss his music, lyrics, life experiences, and creative process," according to a synopsis.

In the black-and-white teaser, Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter) and Rubin have an intimate conversation while sitting at a table.

"Everyone had the same experience, except I was the one that could stand on the soapbox and articulate what we were going through," Jay-Z, 56, says.

Rubin, 63, responds, "Without the pain, you wouldn't have done the work."

Then, the "Empire State of Mind" singer reflects and says, "The pain, we don't say it's necessary, we don't say you need it, but if it's there — you use it."

The title of the docuseries then flashes on the screen with Jay-Z's 1996 song "Can't Knock the Hustle" playing in the background.

The docuseries announcement comes after Jay-Z added the umlaut back over the "Y" in his name as he advertised upcoming events, including his summer shows at Yankee Stadium that will celebrate his 30th anniversary in music.

The three Yankee Stadium shows will take place in July. One will be dedicated to 1996's Reasonable Doubt and another to his 2001 album The Blueprint. A third show, subtitled "Extra Innings," will cover more of his discography.

Earlier this month, Jay-Z announced two more shows in Paris and Los Angeles. The Paris show will take place at the Stade de France on Thursday, Sept. 10 and the L.A. show will be at SoFi Stadium on Friday, Oct. 23.

Jay-Z released his last full solo album, 4:44, in 2017. He also released a collaborative album with wife Beyoncé titled Everything Is Love in 2018.

In May, Jay-Z performed at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia. He also stepped out with Beyoncé and their 14-year-old daughter Blue Ivy at the Met Gala.

Gracie Abrams is letting fans into more corners of her life than ever before on Daughter From Hell — including her relationship with boyfriend Paul Mescal.

Abrams, 26, and Mescal, 30, have been dating for about two years, first sparking romance rumors after they were spotted together in London in June 2024. The couple kept things relatively private in the early stages of their relationship but have since become more public, making their red carpet debut at the 2026 BAFTAs and attending events together, including the 2026 Golden Globes and Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

During a recent interview about the album for the New York Times Popcast, Abrams reflected on writing "Imaginary Friend" with the Oscar-nominated actor, explaining that collaborating publicly with Mescal felt far more natural than some might assume.

When asked whether featuring the Normal People star as a credited collaborator invited an uncomfortable level of scrutiny into a relationship she has largely kept private, Abrams didn't hesitate.

"I don't like the feeling of hiding," Abrams told the podcast's hosts, The New York Times pop music critic Jon Caramanica and culture reporter Joe Coscarelli.

At the same time, Abrams emphasized that privacy still matters to her.

"I also love privacy where it feels like the right thing," she said.

For Abrams, writing together wasn't some major milestone in their relationship. It was simply an extension of the creative environment they already share.

"That was so fun to write together. That wasn't some groundbreaking event for us," she explained. "We have a very creative home with friends who are so good at what they do and everyone feels happy to share that with one another."

While public curiosity about their relationship is inevitable, Abrams said she tries to keep things in perspective.

"I always try to assume the absolute worst-case scenario of everything, and then anything else is pleasant," she said.

More importantly, she believes that outside opinions can't diminish an experience that was meaningful to her.

She added, "If you know how happy your experience was making something or how much you learned about yourself or your partner or whatever the thing is, it's like, no amount of hate or trolling or whatever could take that away."

Abrams described her relationship as a source of stability in her life.

"That is a part of my life that brings me so much peace and joy," she said. "I'm not going to pretend like that's not true, but I also think it's not like an open-door policy."

As for how "Imaginary Friend" came together, Abrams said the process was refreshingly simple.

"Just home, just as it sounds," she said while mimicking strumming a guitar. "It's such a simple, short song and it was really just us f---ing around."

The song was written during the middle of the album-making process and, according to Abrams, fit naturally alongside the rest of the project.

"It just did feel natural," she said.

Daughter From Hell is out July 17.

Paramount Skydance tells Entertainment Weekly that President Trump was not promised an overhaul of CNN with an eventual merger of the company and Warner Bros. Discovery.

The Wall Street Journal reported this week that Larry Ellison, whose son David oversees Paramount, made the offer directly.

Trump has had a rocky relationship for years with the cable news network.

Paramount Skydance says there have been no pledges to make CNN kinder and gentler toward President Donald Trump with a prospective deal to acquire the channel's parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery.

"No commitments from either David or Larry Ellison have been made to any government body, State AG or federal agency regarding the future of CNN or any other news property, other than the goal to deliver truth-based journalism," a spokesman for the company told Entertainment Weekly on Thursday, mirroring a statement first given to The Wall Street Journal

The newspaper reported Monday that "Larry Ellison told Trump that if Paramount landed the Warner deal, it could overhaul CNN." It noted that neither are "fans of the cable news channel, believing it is biased toward liberal news and against the administration, according to people familiar with the matter."

This is significant, of course, because Ellison's son, David, is CEO of Paramount Skydance. The elder Ellison is a friend and financial supporter of Trump.

White House spokesman Kush Desai told EW, "President Trump has consistently maintained that he was neutral to all parties throughout the Warner Bros. Discovery bidding process."

Earlier this month, the Justice Department said it would not challenge the massive merger, which will put David Ellison in control of not only two major TV news networks, CNN and CBS News, but two major streaming services and movie studios.

The deal is estimated to be worth $111 billion, according to The New York Times.

It comes at a critical time for the news industry. Earlier this month, veteran journalist Scott Pelley spoke out after being fired from longtime CBS news magazine 60 Minutes. He took issue with the new editor-in-chief of CBS News, Bari Weiss.

She took the position in October of last year, after Skydance Media acquired Paramount Global and its assets. Leaders at the show, including executive editor Draggan Mihailovich and executive producer Tanya Simon, were fired. Correspondents including Sharyn Alfonsi, Anderson Cooper, and Cecilia Vega left, as well.

Pelley, who had worked on the show since 2004, told Weiss during a June 1 staff meeting that she was "murdering" the highly decorated news program.

Trump has long held a disdain for the media, CNN in particular. During a June 3 news conference at the White House, for instance, he alleged that the network's Kaitlan Collins had "hatred in her eyes." He called the network "very corrupt" and "crooked as hell," before remarking that the "corrupt reporter" in front of him "never smiles" and stands there "with hatred in her eyes."

While his wife's "Let's Move" campaign famously got America up on their feet during the couple's White House years, former President Barack Obama says these days he's moving a little more cautiously.

"I feel good, I mean look, I don't look as good as her," the former president, 64, says while motioning to former first lady Michelle Obama, 62, seated next to him during an intimate interview for PEOPLE's new cover story. "Of course you do," she says, before adding, "It's because you don't dye your hair. You could have made the choice."

To that he says, "Yeah, it's too much trouble... but I feel great."

But when asked whether he plans on playing any pickup games in the new Home Court gym at his Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, the basketball enthusiast quickly says, "No."

"Now I will take folks on for a game of Horse," he continues. "We can have some shooting contests. I am not running up and down that court because I want to protect my knees and my Achilles. I don't want to be in a boot."

He adds, "I'm in good shape if I'm just running north-south. You start getting me sideways and I start worrying about something kind of going [wrong]."

"Michelle, obviously she looks spectacular, but she is way ahead of me on the whole stretching and flexibility tip," he admits. "And that is my next stage."

Nudging him, she says with a smirk, "Is that where you're going? Towards stretching and flexibility?" He confirms, "That's where I'm going."

The new athletic facility on Chicago's South Side offers the public space and opportunity for that and more. "They'll hold birthday parties... there's more than just basketball that'll be going on down there," says the former first lady. "In the gym there are all of these multi-purpose rooms where hopefully community people will do yoga."

That's something her husband might be considering. "Put our yoga mats down and all that. Namaste," he says with a smile.

For Michelle's part, "I tend to get fanatical about stuff that I try. So I started deciding, I'm going to play tennis. And in order to get good at something, you've got to play," she says. "She's gotten very good," notes the former president.

Though he played tennis when he was younger, she says he hasn't joined her much recently. "He's got to stretch out those calves or he's going to pop something."

And one thing's for sure, says the former president: "Don't want to do that. I don't want to pop nothing."
