Vincent and Josephine follow their older siblings in the direct line of succession to the Danish throne, and Vincent — born 26 minutes before his twin — is a spot ahead of Josephine.
King Frederik and Queen Mary's children are all close to each other in age, and the palace's official portraits from the twins' confirmation ceremony included two cute photos of the siblings goofing off.

The twins' confirmation ceremony fell a week after the Danish Royal Houseannounced the death of Queen Mary's father, Professor John Dalgleish Donaldson, at age 84.
The palace shared the news on April 12 in an update that included a rare personal statement from the Queen, 54, and a black-and-white portrait she took of him when they were last together in late March 2026.
Donaldson died in Tasmania, Australia, where Queen Mary was born and raised, and the palace message said that his health had been declining in recent years.
"My heart is heavy, and my thoughts are grey. My beloved father has passed away. But I know that when the grief settles, the memories will brighten my day, and what will remain strongest is love and gratitude for everything he gave me and taught me," said the heartfelt message from the Queen.
Queen Mary joined a royal duty a few days after the palace announced her father's death andappeared on the steps of Fredensborg Castle for the celebrations commemorating Queen Margrethe's 86th birthday.
Queen Mary wore a navy blue suit for the royal occasion and the dark hue was interpreted as a gesture of respect following her father's death, while still celebrating her mother-in-law's birthday. The Danish Royal House previously said that the family will will hold a private memorial service to honor Donaldson at a later date, which has not been announced.
