It's been a couple of summers since bubblegum pink became the "it" color that was positively everywhere, but Spain's Queen Letizia made a case today from bringing the rosy shade back this season.
For an event at Zarzuela Palace in Madrid welcoming the Lilly Foundation, the queen chose a head-to-toe monochrome ensemble in a cheery shade of pink. She wore a shirtdress with a V-neck and button front details, accented by a tiered skirt and rolled up sleeve cuffs. Letizia added a pink, rope-style belt and pink ankle-tie wedge espadrilles.

Thought it's only Tuesday, the Spanish queen has already had a busy—and fashionable—week. On Saturday, she, along with her husband King Felipe and their two daughters, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, welcomed Pope Leo XIV to Madridas the pontiff kicked off his six day trip around the country.

The visit marks the first time in over a decade that Spain has received the pope, and Letizia marked the occasion in a white lace dress; a nod to the fact that she is one of only a few women who are allowed the "privilege of the white" granting her the right to appear before the pontiff in white, rather than the traditional black that was donned by her daughters for the event.
The following day, the family attended a special mass alongside the Pope. On that occasion, Letizia once again chose a white ensemble—this time a short-sleeved dress from Kate Middleton's go-to brand Self-Portrait. Despite her creamy shade, as the mass was not a formal audience with the pope, allowing Leonor and Sofia to opt for pastels rather than black; a note the Letziai apparently carried over into today's style.
