New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson fully participated in practice on Tuesday and is expected to be available for the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, ESPN reported ahead of Wednesday night's Game 1.

Robinson is listed as questionable for the game following surgery to repair the fractured fifth metacarpal bone in his right hand. ESPN reported that he participated in light shooting and dribbling drills during Tuesday's open practice and wore a wrap over his shooting hand and right wrist.

An earlier report said Robinson, 28, would wear a brace on his hand. He did not speak with reporters at NBA Finals media day on Tuesday.

Robinson tallied eight points and 10 rebounds in 18 minutes on May 25 as the Knicks completed their sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals and won their 11th consecutive game.

The Knicks then had to wait for the conclusion of the Western Conference finals, with the Spurs beating the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday in Game 7.

New York coach Mike Brown said previously that Robinson was not injured during a game or practice. The coach said on Tuesday that Robinson went through individual drills in New York before the team flew to San Antonio.

The Spurs host the first two games of the best-of-seven Finals on Wednesday and Friday, then the series moves to New York for Games 3 and 4 on Monday and June 10.

The backup to six-time All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, Robinson is averaging 5.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 14.2 minutes per game while shooting a league-leading 73.7% from the field (28 of 38) in 13 playoff games as a reserve. He has made only 13 of 43 free-throw attempts (30.2%).

During the regular season, Robinson averaged 5.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 19.6 minutes in 60 games (16 starts) and finished eighth in voting for NBA Sixth Man of the Year.

For his career, Robinson has averaged 7.5 points, 8.0 boards, 1.7 blocks and 23.4 minutes in 397 regular-season games (215 starts) with New York. The Knicks' longest-tenured Knicks player was selected in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft out of Western Kentucky.

LeBron James on meeting Chris Paul in high school

The careers of some of the best NBA players from the 2000s and 2010s are starting to wind down. While LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are still playing at a superstar level, all three appear to be nearing their inevitable retirements. Over the last several years, the balance of power in the league has shifted over to men such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokić, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and, of course, Victor Wembanyama.

Chris Paul, who was arguably the best point guard in the NBA for many years starting in the late 2000s, just retired after an illustrious 21-year career in the league. While he never won a championship, he will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and his resume is almost as great as that of any point guard in basketball history.

On a recent episode of his "Mind the Game" podcast, James flashed back to the time he met Paul when both were in high school and praised Paul as one of the best ever to play his position.

"Fast forward to my senior year in high school, we're playing in Greensboro, North Carolina during HBCU weekend," James said. "There's a tournament down there, St. Vincent-St. Mary's goes down there and we're playing a team out of North Carolina. We win that game and Chris Paul comes into the locker room and that's the first time I officially met him.

"I was 17, I think he was 16. He was the best point guard in North Carolina at the time. I believe he was playing in that tournament, I believe his high school played in that tournament. But he came to the locker room, we met and from then on we kind of started like a friendship. To us playing in the McDonald's game together. To me supporting him while he was at Wake Forest. To him coming into the league. Olympic teammates.

"I mean it's incredible what he was able to do in all the stops he was in. New Orleans, with the Clippers obviously, I think his jersey is gonna be raised with the Clippers some day. Even his short time in Houston, making an impact there. His Finals appearance with Phoenix, and so on and so on. He's definitely gonna go down as one of the best point guards that's ever played this game, one of the most fierce competitors to ever play this game. And to add the icing to the cake, his daughter and my daughter happen to be best friends and that's pretty cool."

In his prime, Paul was a player who had virtually no weaknesses. His 16.8 points per game average for his career may not be very impressive, but he could drop 30 points in any given contest, especially come playoff time. He led the league in assists per game five times, and he was also a strong defender who led everyone in steals per game six times. Paul is currently second in career assists with 12,552 (James is in fourth place with 12,016 assists).

Of course, Paul and James have been tight for many years, and they formed one-half of the so-called "Banana Boat Crew" that includes Carmelo Anthony and James' former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade.

The wait is finally over.

The San Antonio Spurs, who knocked off the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, will host the New York Knicks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on June 3. Tipoff is at 8:30 p.m.

The Knicks have had a lot of time to recover from bumps and bruises. They've been idle since ousting the Cleveland Cavaliers in a four-game sweep in series that ended May 25.

But that doesn't mean the Knicks will come in healthy. Their star center Mitchell Robinson broke the pinky on his right hand and underwent surgery to repair it. Reports say he plans on playing with a protective brace.

Spurs vs. Knicks this year

The Knicks went 1-1 against the Spurs this year. The Knicks won 114-89 on March 1, but fell to the Spurs 134-132 on New Year's Eve.

When was the last time the Knicks were in the Finals?

The Knicks were last in the NBA Finals in 1999 where they lost to the Spurs.

Knicks vs. Spurs prediction

The Knicks are the hottest team in the NBA, having not lost since Game 3 of the first round series against the Atlanta Hawks. But the West is a different world. The Spurs are the better team and have homecourt. It should go six or seven, but the Spurs will win the series. We'll say Spurs in six.

Perhaps Jeff Goldblum would like to retattle the retittle of his rebuttals during the *RuPaul's Drag Race* season 12 debate challenge.

Iconic queens Jaida Essence Hall, Heidi N Closet, Jackie Cox, and Crystal Methyd stopped by the final episode of *EW's BINGE* podcast to tell hosts Joey Nolfi and Jillian Sederholm about one of the most hilarious improvised moments of season 12, in which Goldblum — a guest judge and participant on episode 9's mock political summit — hilariously went off-script. And the ensuing chaos gave us perhaps season 12's best quote.

"I think we must admire the improv skills of our hosts, who took us in a different direction. There was a little bit of stuff we didn't know how to answer because they were questions that we were like, A, this wasn't part of the official debate prep, and B, there were things we knew we couldn't answer because he was asking us to sing some copyrighted songs!" Cox recalls as her season 12 sisters erupt with laughter around her. "I think Jeff Goldblum was just trying to have fun with us!"

Though Closet squeals "hijacked the challenge!" in the background, Hall is quick to clarify Goldblum's approach to the challenge was a lighthearted attempt to enliven the moment: "I don't think he tried to sabotage us, he just didn't understand the assignment!" she says. "Which, then, we also felt like we didn't understand the assignment, and that's when I changed my [approach]. I was like, I'll just do whatever!"

Adds Cox: "That's why Jaida was the winner of this challenge, because Jaida was like, 'Alright, then I'm going to throw out everything I prepared and I'm just going to say look over there!'"

Elsewhere on the episode, the queens discuss Crystal genuinely not knowing who El DeBarge was when RuPaul affectionately compared her to the recording artist, Jackie gets emotional over her American flag hijab moment on the runway, and Jaida (season 12 winner) and Heidi (Miss Congeniality) discuss their lasting impact as the first pair of Black queens to take titles on a single season of the show.

Rock M. Sakura — eliminated second, far before her proper time — also delivers the *Snatch Game* performance she never got to give on the show as a foul-mouthed Helen Kane, the voice of beloved cartoon character Betty Boop, and *Bootleg Opinions* host Yuhua Hamasaki remixes a runway look with her signature taste for impeccable design.

After a record-winning Emmy's sweep, *Schitt's Creek* still had one big to-do on its checklist: drop the final season on Netflix, where many of the show's fans had first discovered the Pop TV/CBC comedy.

That treat came a bit early, but for everyone watching the sixth season for the first (or tenth) time, we have an extra reward for you: co-creator and star Dan Levy (who plays David) returned to *EW's BINGE* podcast for a special bonus episode. Levy breaks down the biggest controversies of the season, shares a poignant memory from Emmy's night about co-star Annie Murphy (Alexis), reveals that an alternate ending of the series was shot, and speculates what David and Patrick (played by Noah Reid) would dress up as for Halloween.

Schitts Creek

We also revisit some of our favorite interviews from the *EW On Set* podcast, which had weekly companion episodes for every week of season six's original airing, including a never-before-heard riff by Catherine O'Hara (Moira) about a viral video she was obsessed with, extended and uncut interviews with Murphy and Dustin Milligan (Ted) about their characters' long-distance struggle, and Eugene Levy (Johnny) and special guest star Victor Garber (who steps in for one episode as Moira's former soap opera nemesis) talk about first meeting during a 1972 production of *Godspell* in Toronto. Plus, we assemble all of our favorite celebrity name drops from throughout the season, and the best Moira-isms.

- Jay-Z recently dissed Dame Dash in a freestyle.

- Dash responded by saying he was "embarrassed" for his Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder.

- Dash also criticized Jay-Z's new hairstyle.

Dame Dash ran to throw shots back at his former business partner Jay-Z.

At Saturday's Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, Jay-Z delivered a rare solo performance, and used the occasion to diss a long list of people from his past, including Ye, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Dash, who founded Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear clothing alongside the rapper.

Jay-Z and Dash fell out over 20 years ago, and Dash hasn't been shy in speaking about Jay-Z, and perhaps that's why Jay-Z used a Roots Festival freestyle to joke about Dash's teeth and declare "that chatty patty is down on his luck again."

"If I'm not around, he's not relevant," Dash said in a new interview with The Art of Dialogue. "I feel like that's the reason why they have to bring my name up all the time. I thought that rap was terrible."

Dash and Jay-Z started their careers together, with Dash serving as manager and producer. But Jay-Z was talking about retiring from rap after his debut album, 1996's* Reasonable Doubt*, and then actually temporarily did so after 2003's *The Black Album*, only to return three years later. Dash suggests that he pities his old friend for still stepping to the mic at 56 years old.

"I would prefer the version of Jay that would have said something more clever, and that's not the version ofJay that I would have ever signed," Dash said of the Saturday performance. "And I felt bad because it must be embarrassing for him to now have to be on that stage not the same version of himself and still have to work at that age. So that was the brother in me, like, damn. He was was retiring since Reasonable Doubt, and for him to have to come outside 20 years later, I just felt kind of embarrassed."

Jay-Z and Dash's professional relationship ended in 2004 when Def Jam Recordings purchased Roc-A-Fella and Jay-Z signed on to be president of Def Jam. In the years since, Dash has been openly critical of Jay-Z, all while he battles his own criminal and financial issues, including filing for bankruptcy last year.

In addition to critiquing Jay-Z's lyrical prowess at the Roots Picnic, Dash dissed the unveiling of the rapper's "crazy" new afro.

"I was like, why would they let him come outside like that? To me, that shit is funny," Dash said. "We don't want to see this version of you. I know I don't. That version of the Roc was painful and hard to look at."
