The "On the Floor" singer recounted the incident as "kind of horrible" during an appearance on the SmartLess podcast Monday, June 15

Jennifer Lopez is speaking out about the viral moment from the summer of 2025 when a large cricket landed on her mid-performance.

Lopez, 56, spoke about the incident on the SmartLess podcast co-hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett on Monday, June 15. She recalled singing a song in Spanish when the unexpected visitor landed on her neck in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

"It was like the slow moment in the show, you know," the "On the Floor" singer said. "Usually, I'm dancing around and doing the choreography and like a f-----g bikini and a g-string and whipping my hair around and it's a good time."

She recalled it being "really quiet" with "just a spotlight" on her and that she had been seeing "little bugs" throughout the night.

"And so everything is dark except for me and I'm singing," Lopez continued. "And as I'm singing, the audience starts screaming. And usually they do react in this moment because I stop and it's a slow song."

The Office Romance star remembered a choreographed "dramatic pause" during the song where fans occasionally applaud her, but was caught off guard by "a lot of screaming."

"I was like, 'what's happening?'" she said. "And I'm just there and this huge bug is just crawling up my neck and I feel it."

She recalled that she "stayed really still" to finish the last line of the song before she could react to the large insect. Lopez joked that the bug was so big it looked like a helicopter when it eventually flew toward the light.

"But that was crazy, it was kind of horrible," Lopez added. "Like if I would have known it was that, I probably [would have been] screaming and yelling."

The insect incident occurred during an August 2025 show on Lopez's Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour.

"It was tickling me," a smiling Lopez said to fans in front of her at the time, before continuing to perform.

In video footage of the moment shared online by Lopez's official fan account, the caption joked, "Plot twist: @JLo just started rehearsals for Kiss of the Cricket Woman … on stage … in real time. 😂💋🦗."

The "Kiss of the Cricket Woman" mention was a play on Lopez's 2025 film Kiss of the Spider Woman, an adaptation of the 1993 Broadway musical.

Ian McKellen said he imagined Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago while filming a destructive scene in Avengers: Doomsday.

"Make it look as if you hate what you're destroying," the actor, a vocal critic of Trump, said the directors told him.

Avengers: Doomsday, set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, unites characters from multiple Marvel universes in the fight against Doctor Doom.

Ian McKellen took method acting to a whole new level while making Avengers: Doomsday.

The 87-year-old actor revives his X-Men franchise mutant, Magneto, in the 39th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that unites characters from three separate universes in the fight against Doctor Doom.

One scene in the upcoming film calls for Magneto to wreak havoc on New Jersey using his superpower to manipulate magnetic fields.

As cameras rolled, Avengers: Doomsday directors, brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, instructed McKellen to "look more furious," he revealed at the Cinema in Piazza film festival in Rome, where 2,000 Marvel fans got to see a sneak peek at footage.

They told him to "make it look as if you hate what you're destroying," recalled McKellen, according to The Guardian. "So I stood there and I shouted: 'Mar-a-Lago!'"

Mar-a-Lago is the Palm Beach property owned by Donald Trump, where the president famously wines and dines influential and moneyed friends, family, and investors. The English actor has been a vocal critical of Trump since his first term, when he rolled back several LGBTQ+ executive orders and refused to recognize Pride Month.

"It's appalling and quite unnecessary and very un-American," McKellen, who came out as gay in 1988, told Variety. "The gay rights movement began in America. It began in San Francisco, it began in Stonewall, the city where Donald Trump was born and thrived."

"I can't follow Mr. Trump," he continued. "I don't always understand what he says and when I do, I have to admit later that I got it wrong because he changed his mind or changed his mind about what he said. He's a very bad communicator, at least to me. Get more straightforward, Donald. And then we can take you seriously."

Avengers: Doomsday picks up where 2019's Avengers: Endgame left off and stars an ensemble cast representing the Avengers, The New Avengers, Wakandans, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. A familiar face also returns in a new role: Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. as mega villain Victor von Doom.

"We're not talking too much about story, but I think people know that the story of Doomsday is inspired by a very famous comic run in which universes are colliding and earths encounter one another and different timelines encounter one another," Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige told Entertainment Weekly at CinemaCon. "And in movie-speak, what that allows us to do is get different casts from different franchises."

In addition to McKellen, the confirmed X-Men-related cast members include Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, James Marsden as Cyclops, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.

Also confirmed to reprise their MCU roles in Doomsday are Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tom Hiddleston, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Alex Livinalli, Mabel Cadena, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, and Kathryn Newton.

Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on Dec. 18, 2026.

Sherri Shepherd has revealed Milo Ventimiglia was fired from Rewind, a 1997 sitcom that was ultimately canceled before it aired.

Rewind starred Scott Baio and Mystro Clark as advertising execs who regularly looked back at to their teenage years in the 1970s.

Ventimiglia was cast as the younger version of Baio's character, "but then they let him go," said Shepherd.

Milo Ventimiglia got his "Welcome to Hollywood" moment not long after launching an acting career.

In 1997, after appearing in one-off episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Saved by the Bell: The New Class, Ventimiglia scored a potential big break when he was cast as the younger version of Scott Baio's character, Rob, on Rewind.

The sitcom's premise promised a fair amount of screen time: Rob and his childhood friend Harv (Mystro Clark) were advertising execs who regularly revisited their early years by "rewinding" back to the 1970s.

But as it turned out, Rewind was ultimately more of a setback for Ventimiglia, according to a new revelation by costar Sherri Shepherd, who played Rob's secretary.

"He was originally at the table read, but then they let him go," Shepherd recalled in a recent Instagram video. "I remember he was devastated, and I said to him, 'You are gonna be big.' Now, I didn't know he was going to be that big," she added, referencing Ventimiglia's starring roles on Gilmore Girls, Heroes, and most recently, This Is Us. "He's working all the time."

Rewind didn't end up being a big break for Shepherd either. After taping six episodes of the comedy, it was canceled just two weeks before it was set to air.

At the time, Fox noted Rewind remained a candidate for a midseason slot on its broadcast schedule, however, the sitcom never saw the light of day.

Thirty years later, the actress got to reconnect with Ventimiglia on her daytime talk show, Sherri, and reminisce about Rewind.

Although his firing wasn't mentioned, Ventimiglia did recall his disappointment in the show being canceled as well as Shepherd's prophetic reassurance.

"I was bummed. I was 18 at the time, it was my first job at Warner Brothers," he said on Sherri in February. "'What do I do now? Do I go back to school? Do I go back to waiting tables? … I remember you told me, 'Hey, don't worry about you. You're going to do great. You're going to have a nice career.'"

Shepherd revealed she had never been able to tell Ventimiglia how proud she was of him, since they hadn't crossed paths since Rewind.

"I saw in you a star," she gushed. "I was so incredibly proud every time I would see you book something. And I would tell people, 'I know Milo!' Nobody believed me. Like, up until you came on the show, nobody believed that I knew you... [Rewind] never came on, so there's no pictures anywhere."

Ventimiglia vouched that not only did he indeed know Shepherd, "she's one of the first actors I've looked up to and given me advice," he told the Sherri cameras, "[and] has propelled my career to where I sit now."

Prince William seemed to save King Charles and Queen Camilla from a misstep at Trooping the Colour.

On June 13, the King, Queen, Prince of Wales and more royal family members attended the British Army parade hosted in celebration of the King's official birthday in London, continuing a tradition that's over 260 years old.

Following the military ceremony at Horse Guards Parade and equestrian procession back to Buckingham Palace, the royal family stepped out on the palace balcony to watch the Royal Air Force flypast, in one of their most quintessential public appearances of the year.

As seen in PEOPLE's live feed of the special day, after the flypast wrapped, the King, 77, and Queen, 78, waved to the crowd gathered in London. They then appeared to try to leave the balcony, when Prince William seemed to exchange a few words with his father.

King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, and more royal family members stood at attention as "God Save the King" was played, taking in the tribute.

The King and Queen then gave one last round of waves before retreating into the Centre Room of the palace as the Prince and Princess of Wales, their children, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and more royal family members followed behind.

Prince William's reminder for the King and Queen on the balcony was one of several unexpected moments that unfolded during the royal family's appearance there, from Prince Louis breaking away for a better view of the flypast finale to the 90-year-old Duke of Kent breaking out his phone in a sure balcony first.

Courtiers expressed King Charles and Queen Camilla's appreciation for the day after the pageantry wrapped, writing online, "With thanks to the 1,400 members of the Armed Forces who took part in today's Trooping the Colour, and with special mention to the Grenadier Guards who trooped their new Colour. We salute you."

Pat Sajak shares rare life update after 'Wheel of Fortune' retirement

Pat Sajak shared a rare "update on life" in a video message posted to X.

"Hi! I know a lot of you have been wondering, asking me how I'm doing, and I'm enjoying life," the 79-year-old said in the June 14 post. "I moved here to Montana and everything is going just great. So, I just want to say hello."

In the video, the former "Wheel of Fortune" host stands in front of an oceanfront swimming pool framed by palm trees.

"You'll have to excuse me, I have some cattle to attend to," he added, in his signature deadpan delivery, before calling out, "Here, boy!" A "moo" sound effect followed.

The retirement update comes more than a year after Sajak stepped away from "Wheel of Fortune," ending a four-decade run as the face of the syndicated game show. His final episode of the weeknight series aired in June 2024, and Ryan Seacrest succeeded him that September. Sajak remained involved with the franchise through "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune" until the spinoff's final episode aired in June 2025.

Since "Wheel of Fortune" debuted in syndication in 1983, Sajak had hosted the show alongside Vanna White, who remained with the program following his retirement.

Away from television, Sajak continues to serve as chairman of the Board of Trustees for Hillsdale College, a private liberal arts college in Michigan.

"Hillsdale College is fortunate to have an even closer relationship with Mr. Sajak," a college representative previously told USA TODAY. "Since 2019, we have benefitted from his wisdom, intellect, and good humor as chairman of Hillsdale's board of trustees. We look forward to continuing our important work together and to what we are sure will be a bright future for Mr. Sajak and his family."

Sajak served as vice chairman of Hillsdale's board from 2003 to 2019 before being named chairman in 2019.

- West Wilson is officially not returning for *Summer House* season 11 as cameras start rolling over the July 4 weekend.

- The news comes ahead of the release of a bonus episode of the series featuring (hopefully illuminating) one-on-one conversations between several castmates, airing on Tuesday.

- Wilson was recently the target of hard-hitting questions from his costars during the season 10 reunion, where the relationship between him and Amanda Batula dominated the conversation.

Bravo is shaking things up for the next season of its long-running reality TV series, *Summer House*. West Wilson is officially not returning for season 11 as cameras start rolling over the July 4 weekend, PEOPLE reported Monday.

TMZ, which first shared the news, reported that sources close to production say that although Wilson hadn't been picked up for the upcoming installment, the door for a possible return remains open with production. The media personality could appear in the next season for a brief cameo.

Reps for the Bravo series did not immediately respond when ** reached out for comment. The stars of season 11 — returning or new —have not yet been announced.

Wilson joined the cast of hard-partying friends for their annual escape to the Hamptons in season 8, as the friend of OG cast member Lindsay Hubbard. His relationship with costar Ciara Miller became a huge focal point for the series, despite their very public breakup after dating for a few months. Although their brief dalliance following Wilson's addition to the cast in 2023 ended on less-than-friendly terms, the pair seemingly maintained a will-they-or-won't-they vibe ever since.

After a rocky journey which included a brief period of estrangement at the request of Miller, the two seemed to be reconciling their romance during *Summer House* season 10.

However, things took a dark turn for the cast when Wilson and costar Amanda Batula revealed they had been in a secret relationship on March 31, weeks after gossip blog Deuxmoi first reported they were hooking up and while the 10th season was still airing.

The news created ripples throughout the *Summer House *fandom and cast, since Batula was best friends with Miller, and Wilson was close with Kyle Cooke, to whom Batula had been married for four years before they announced their split in January.

As of publication, Batula and Cooke are still legally married.

The reveal was especially surprising for fans because the show's latest season featured multiple cast members wondering if Miller and Wilson were getting back together, with the latter being notably disturbed when approached by costar Jesse Solomon about possibly kissing Miller if given the chance. At one point in the season, Wilson even referred to Miller as "the love of my life."

Fans felt particularly scandalized about the rumors because Batula and Miller have been close friends for years; Batula even gushed about Miller coming to her aid after she and Cooke announced their split.

Everyone from their fellow *Summer House* castmates to other Bravo stars and celebrities outside the reality TV sphere had *a lot *to say about the relationship reveal and resorted to picking sides.

Cooke broke his silence to defend his estranged wife to "street journalist" Adam Glyn on April 1, saying that he was "more concerned" about Batula than his own feelings. "I'm obviously frustrated. I mean, we have a new show coming out, and there's so much that gets unpacked there," Cooke said. "I'm obviously disappointed in her... but just hearing her and hearing how unwell she is, and [her] dark thoughts, I just ask people to just, maybe, pull off the gas a little on the cyberbullying and hate."

However, the Loverboy founder confessed that he doesn't "understand the timeline just yet" of the relationship between Batula and Wilson, which made watching the 10th season a "mental mindf---."

"I mean, it's just like a series of events that, unfortunately, the evidence just kind of started piling up, piling up, piling up. I'll leave it at that," Cooke said. "Looking back, there's a lot of us [who've] been looking at his body language and, you know, how touchy and handsy he is with her and just kind of gave him a little bit of a hall pass like, 'Oh, it's West.'"

Miller, for her part, shared her thoughts on Wilson and Batula's relationship in a *Glamour* interview published before the kiss cam moment. She said she felt "disregarded in such a disrespectful way" after supporting Batula as her marriage to Cooke fell apart on the latest season of *Summer House*.

"It's one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors," the registered nurse told the outlet. "To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It's a major mindf---."

During the season 10 reunion, the *Summer House* cast came together for the first time since "Scamanda" went public. The discussion largely revolved around Batula and Wilson’s relationship, with the two going on the defensive as Miller, Cooke, Hubbard, and the rest of the cast demanded answers. By the end of Part 3, some — most vocally Hubbard — felt that they hadn’t gotten the accountability they were looking for.

Bravo has even more in store for fans, as the final moments of the reunion revealed there will be a bonus episode, *Summer House: The Aftermath*. The bonus episode will feature new (and hopefully illuminating) one-on-one conversations between Batula and Hubbard, Cooke and Wilson, and Miller and Meija Moreno, which took place three weeks after the reunion was filmed on April 23.

Moreno is Wilson’s ex-girlfriend who, as discussed in the reunion, believed they were exclusive while Wilson continued to hook up with other women. Miller reached out to her and spoke to her on the phone during the reunion, but this promises to be a more in-depth interaction.

*Summer House: The Aftermath *will air on Bravo Tuesday, at 8 p.m. ET. Season 11 of the series will likely kick off in early February 2027, giving viewers a reprieve from the colder temperatures with some sure-to-be-hot drama.
