The 41-year-old left her partly wet hair open, going for a glam makeup look including dramatic lashes, blush-dusted cheeks, and a nude pink lip color. Technology crashes the party in "Toy Story 5," a sweet story that prioritizes the value of imagination over the instant gratification of online, an increasingly lost artifact in our over-stimulated digital world.

It shows how long the "Toy Story" franchise has been kicking around, and how times have changed over the last three decades: Once the new kid on the block, ushering in a new era of computer animation which suddenly made traditional animation feel stodgy, "Toy Story" has become a wizened elder, longing for those ever-elusive simpler times.

Here that means playing with toys and creating stories inside our minds rather than banging away at handheld devices, and being lulled into complacency and/or hypnosis by glowing screens.

There's a graceful yet disheartening and all too relatable scene early on in "Toy Story 5" where we see an overview of a neighborhood, everyone inside, locked away in their rooms by themselves, staring into the digital void of their phones and iPads. Who among us, any age, is unable to relate to that depressing reality? And how's a mere toy supposed to compete with a handheld treasure trove of information and entertainment in our modern world?

The new vanguard is ushered in by Lily, a talking iPad-like device in the friendly guise of a frog, voiced by Greta Lee. She's the new obsession of Bonnie (voiced by Scarlett Spears), the now-8-year-old star of the story.

The shiny new device threatens the gang of old toys, chiefly Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen) and Jessie (Joan Cusack). Woody and Buzz are still doing their old tap dance, but it's Jessie — voiced with grace by Cusack — who is moved to the center of the story this time around.

Bonnie still enjoys playing with her toys but is essentially peer pressured into joining the connected generation by her friends, or rather the kids with whom she's trying her best to assimilate. Group chats, memes and inside jokes are the new currency of modern friendship, and playing with toys is as old as yesterday's news.

So it's up to the toys to save the day, to re-engage Bonnie and to fight for their own worth against the tyranny of technology. Just another day for the gang of toys.

Because of the place it holds in culture, "Toy Story" remains the gem of the Pixar castle, which itself remains the house that Woody and Buzz built. And it's made with warmth that has been earned over generations, even if the latest chapters — 2019's "Toy Story 4" and this one — don't hit on all the same cylinders as "Toy Story's" first three installments.

But it's got heart and humor, and Conan O'Brien is a welcome addition to the cast as Smarty Pants, a electronic toilet training toy. Its premise is smart, even if writer-director Andrew Stanton — working from a script he co-wrote with Kenna Harris — isn't waging an all-out war on devices. "Toy Story 5" eventually softens its stance on tech and the stranglehold it has over society, for Pixar knows that completely demonizing devices is a risky play in today's global marketplace.

There's a folksy charm that's still at the center of the "Toy Story" series, which is now like revisiting an old friend. It's become reflexive of itself and its own themes of hand-crafted value and worth.

Yes, other things have come along with which we now spend more time. But there's still something comforting about going back and letting nostalgia work its magic, and few things could embody that feeling more than a box of old, beloved toys.

The fifth annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards air on Bravo and Peacock on June 17

Calling all "Readers," "Kateighs," "Publicists" and "Finalists," the fifth annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards (LCCAs) have arrived.

The awards ceremony, created by Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang on their podcast Las Culturistas, took place at Radio City Music Hall on May 30 and will air on June 17 on Bravo and Peacock.

What started in 2016 as a weekly culture debrief they "knew" no one would listen to has grown into a community of devoted listeners and memorable conversations with their best friends and legends like Cole Escola, Tina Fey and former first lady Michelle Obama.

"I think what we're building with the podcast is inside jokes for everybody to be in on," Rogers told PEOPLE in 2025 about the show's appeal. "We have a deep well of bits, of friends, of random people we met—and it's all wonderful strolls down memory lane."

With weekly segments like "What was the culture that made you say culture was for you?" and "I Don't Think So Honey," the pals are still having fun a decade later.

"This is just a playdate with my best friend," Yang told the Wall Street Journal in 2026.

As the duo celebrates a decade of podcasting, look back at Rogers and Yang's most memorable moments in photos.

Friendship at Second Sight

The pair were introduced by mutual friends as 19-year-old students at New York University, and it wasn't exactly an instant connection.

"We were like, 'You think we're going to be friends just because we're gay? No way!' " Rogers recalled to NPR in 2019.

Then, later on at a Halloween party, they realized they were the only two guests who knew the lyrics to Nicki Minaj's "Roman's Revenge." From that moment, they were inseparable.

Rogers and Yang kicked off their now-notable show by recapping the 2016 Grammys and declaring, "We're gonna attack culture, we're gonna improve culture and we're going to irrigate culture."

The then-26-year-old Rogers and 25-year-old Yang couldn't have guessed their show would explode in the way it did.

"We had no hopes and dreams," Yang told the Wall Street Journal, "and then somehow the numbers kept growing."

Their listenership grew during 2020 as Rogers and Yang documented their real-time experiences with the world shutting down, and, in true pandemic fashion, recruited fans to join them in their Survivorbinge watch.

"That's what [listeners] wanted, to connect and hear a friendship in action," Rogers told PEOPLE about the show's surge in popularity during that time.

Hitting the Big Screen

The pair took their hilarious dynamic past the headphones and onto the big screen in 2022 when they starred in Joel Kim Booster's film Fire Island.

Since then, they've appeared as a couple in season 1 of Benito Skinner's Overcompensating. According to Variety, they will be writing and starring in an upcoming Searchlight comedy inspired by a Search Engine podcast episode about the exclusive Berlin nightclub Berghain.

Even the pop culture authorities have their favorites. For Rogers, that's Kelly Clarkson, and for Yang, it's Lady Gaga. In 2023 and 2025, respectively, each singer was a guest on the podcast, and the duo naturally freaked out.

"Letting my 12 year old self know he met the girl who kept him going for years and she was beyond his expectations," Rogers captioned an Instagram about Clarkson's episode. While Yang wrote on Instagram, "@ladygaga thank you we love you i still can't believe this."

The LCCAs began in 2021 as a running joke between the pals and their listeners, but have since evolved into a full-fledged, red-carpet affair that raises the bar each year.

Highlights of past shows include Ben Platt performing a rendition of Addison Rae's "Diet Pepsi," Lisa Rinna parading the stage dressed as each of the "Outfit of the Year" nominees and Mandy Moore winning the "Lifetime of Culture Award."

"This is something that started as a bit," Yang told PEOPLE in 2025, "but what is also true is that we put a lot of hard work into it."

Travis Barker's new documentary chronicles his journey through trauma, family life, and his music career comeback

Directors say his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian brought him peace and helped complete the film's narrative

Barker credits his wife and children for their support as he faced his fear of flying during filming

After following Travis Barker's life for a decade, the directors behind his new documentary say finding love with Kourtney Kardashian helped him finally find "peace."

Directors Justin Krook and Michael Dwyer watched as Barker, 50, navigated trauma, family lifeand his comeback in music. But according to the filmmakers, one of the biggest changes they witnessed happened after the Blink-182 drummer found love with his now-wife Kardashian, 47.

Speaking exclusively with PEOPLE at the documentary's world premiere at the Tribeca Festival, Krook says Barker's relationship with Kardashian helped bring a newfound sense of peace to his life and ultimately helped complete the story they had been trying to tell for years.

"We thought we had a finished film maybe four years ago or five years ago, but it turns out we only had like a half of the film," Krook tells PEOPLE. "We didn't have an ending because Travis still hadn't found that peace yet."

The documentary, which was filmed over the course of nearly 10 years, chronicles Barker's life and career, including the lasting trauma he experienced following the deadly 2008 plane crash that left him with a debilitating fear of flying.

"He was still at odds with the rest of his band, single," Krook explains. "But all these things kind of came together for him the last few years."

Among those changes was Barker's relationship with Kardashian, whom he married in 2022.

"He was very close with his kids, but within the last couple of years, he's found the love of his life and I've really seen this sense of ease permeate him," says Krook. "You carry your shoulders like this and I just see him relaxing the last few years."

"I think it's a large testament to his family," he continues.

Dwyer and Krook first connected with Barker while working on another documentary project and were immediately drawn to his story. Early in the process, they joined him aboard the Queen Mary 2 as he traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to tour in Europe rather than fly.

"I feel like that really set the tone of the movie we were going to make, which is a film about trauma and how do you overcome that," says Krook.

Over time, however, the filmmakers realized that Barker's story wasn't necessarily about overcoming trauma.

"The key distinction that we found over making this film is that it was not necessarily about overcoming because I don't think you actually overcome," Dwyer explains. "You actually live with [it] and what does that mean and who is that for? That was the process for us."

That evolution became apparent as Barker rebuilt important relationships, reunited with his Blink-182 bandmates and eventually returned to flying. At the premiere, Barker reflected on how the documentary's ending changed over the years.

"It seems surreal," Barker told PEOPLE. "At one point it wasn't going to come out. It had no ending and the dream ending was I'd walk near a plane, which I was completely against, and I was completely against flying ever again. I went to my managers and I said, 'This documentary will come out when I'm dead. It's dead to me. I hate the ending,' because I knew that not flying had power over me and it really ate me up."

For years, Barker says he knew the film would only feel complete if he eventually confronted his fear of flying. And that breakthrough came after what he describes as years of healing, including breathwork sessions that helped him process his long-held trauma.

"I knew in the back of my head, the end of this documentary is me getting on a plane again and facing my fear, which I didn't know if it was ever going to be possible," he admits. "But years later, I fall in love with one of my best friends and just amazing things happened. Who would have known?"

While Barker credits several factors for helping him move forward, he says the support of Kardashian and his children has been constant throughout the filmmaking process.

"My wife's watched the documentary so many times, and [my son] Landon's done a few interviews for it," Barker shares. "They've all been super supportive, and I wouldn't be here without all the love from them for sure."

Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear premieres on Hulu Aug. 13.

A U.K. healthcare worker allegedly tried to sell Princess Kate's "highly sensitive personal information" as she went public with her cancer diagnosis in 2024.

The U.K.'s privacy and data watchdog, the Information Commissioner's Office, announced Wednesday, June 17, that it had concluded its criminal investigation into medical information illegally obtained and disclosed to a third party during a breach reported by the London Clinic in March 2024, issuing a formal caution to "a now former healthcare professional from London."

"The conduct involved the deliberate misuse of highly sensitive personal information and an offer to disclose it for financial gain, representing a clear breach of trust," the statement said.

Though the ICO did not name Kate, 44, specifically, the BBC, The Guardian and other outlets reported the breach was related to the royal's medical records.

The London Clinic is where the Princess of Wales underwent abdominal surgery in January 2024, two months before she revealed she was undergoing cancer treatment. Her father-in-law, King Charles, was also treated at the private hospital in central London.

The ICO also said it concluded "that a caution was the appropriate and proportionate enforcement response." Based on its findings, the incident did not indicate widespread "failings that would meet the threshold for regulatory enforcement."

In January 2025, Kate announced with "relief" that her cancer was in remission. Though Kate has kept most of the details about her cancer battle private, she has offered occasional insights into her experiences.

In a video shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales' social media accounts on Feb. 4, which is World Cancer Day, Kate said cancer journeys are not "linear."

"There are moments of fear and exhaustion. But also moments of strength, kindness and profound connection," she said.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Iraq striker Aymen Hussein was delayed on the way to his first World Cup.

He still made the best of his tournament debut.

Earlier this month, it wasn't clear whether Hussein would be able to compete in the tournament after he and another member of the team's traveling party were detained for several hours coming through U.S. customs in Chicago.

Two weeks later, Hussein scored the second World Cup goal in his country's history during Iraq's 4-1 loss to Norway on Tuesday.

Hussein also had a late own goal, but Iraq coach Graham Arnold took only positives out of his star's effort.

"I'd rather remember his performance and the way he's played," Arnold said. "He's had quite a few injures during the season. For him to get through 90 minutes. ... He's the type of player that's very difficult to control in the box. I'm very proud of him."

Norway took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute on a sliding goal by Erling Haaland.

Nine minutes later, Hussein energized a sizable contingent of white-clad Iraqi fans amid a sea of Norwegian red at Gillette Stadium.

Amir Alammari corralled a ball on the baseline halfway between the left corner and the goal and fired a cross. It eluded Norway's defenders, allowing Hussein to punch a clean header that bounced under the hand of diving goalkeeper Orjan Nyland.

Iraq is playing in its second World Cup and first in 40 years.

Hussein appeared deflated as he shook hands with Norway's players afterward, but his teammates were proud of the lift — however momentary — his goal provided to a team that came in as a heavy underdog.

"It's a proud moment for him," defender Hussein Ali said. "But, of course, the end result, it's hard to celebrate a goal like that. But we're on to the next game."

Setting aside Hussein's difficulties in customs, Arnold, who guided Australia at the 2022 World Cup, said the team's experience leading up to Tuesday's match has been positive.

"FIFA, even the U.S., it's not about politics — it's about football," he said. "The way we've been treated has been first class."

Arnold said his team's effort Tuesday bodes well heading into Monday's match against France in Philadelphia.

"I was very proud of the first 65-70 minutes," Arnold said. "A couple of mistakes of players this type of level will always punish you. So we need to learn lessons from these mistakes."
