Chloe Fineman says Harry Styles is "even nicer than he needs to be"

She says when he was preparing for the show, she stayed up late each night writing to make sure they'd get to do a sketch together

When she's not on the show, she's a beauty junkie and a new brand ambassador for Olly body washes

As a six-season Saturday Night Live cast member, Chloe Fineman has met her fair share of celebrity hosts and musicians. For the most part, she says they're cool.

"Okay, they're not all great," she tells PEOPLE with a laugh. But Harry Styles? He was awesome.

"He was so genuinely nice," the actress, 37, says of the British singer, 32. "So lowkey. Just, like, truly nice to everybody, meeting them and remembering their names. He doesn't even need to be that nice of a person, but he is."

She adds that she stayed up super late writing the week he was on, in order to make sure they could be in a sketch together.

Fineman, who has partnered with Olly for its new line of body washes, says when she's not working on the sketch show, she's a bath and beauty junkie who's obsessed with skincare.

"This is my jam," she says of the brand. "I'm a bath girl — I take one almost every day, and just do everything in the bath, my oil cleanser, my gels, I shave. Well, barely shave."

She adds that her bedtime process is super nuts: "My nighttime routine is like a 30-step skincare routine," she says.

"Retinol, exfoliation, this stuff for glass skin, salmon sperm, snail mucus, all the ... goo you can think of, moisturizer, face creams. And then you wake up and don't have to do much. I feel like all my downtime is watching skincare TikToks. I love these two women, My Sister's Skin. Everything I know I learned from them."

She notes that she likes the new Olly products because they're simple and full of vitamins. "I think no frills wellness is coming back," she says. (Her own nighttime skincare routine notwithstanding.) "But we kind of overdid it with doing everything right, then we kind of forgot about it, and now it's back but in a nice, happy meeting in the middle."

As for her late nights on SNL? She says they have no effect on her wellness, even when she's up until 4 a.m.

"When I'm home in L.A. we all work out, we get smoothies, but then we're just driving around in our cars. In New York, I eat bagels and pizza and candy and hit my Juul, and I'm still fitter just from walking around."

She adds that the late SNL nights are worth it anyway, just because it's such a fun job.

"We have a lot of fun," she says, adding that costar Sarah Sherman is her closest friend in the cast and a fellow skincare obsessive.

"But you can't take it too seriously. You have to just have fun and leave the drama out of it. It was so great at the 50th reunion to see these lifelong friendships formed on the show, because a lot of us make an effort to really hang out."
