MGK says he "got really sick" while getting his blackout tattoo done in just two months.

The "times of my life" singer said he struggled to sleep and his skin turned yellow during the process.

Still, he says he left the experience inspired "not just because of what I had done, but because of what I had to overcome."

MGK is looking back at the surprising side effects he experienced while getting his blackout tattoo.

The "forget me too" singer, 36, revealed in a recent Billboard Canada interview that he "got really sick" while getting the piece done — which encompasses almost the entirety of his arms, chest, and stomach — over the course of just two months.

"After the first week, we hit my lymph nodes around my armpits and shoulders, and I got really sick," MGK told the outlet. "My skin was turning yellow. I wasn't able to sleep. I stopped being able to move certain parts of my upper body."

The musician noted that his tattoo artist, Roxx, had told him that pieces this large usually take around two years to complete. However, he ultimately went against her advice.

"She warned me that it was going to be near impossible, even from a pain tolerance standpoint," he said. "I said, 'Yeah, we got two months.'"

Although it was painful, MGK said that the experience of getting the tattoo left him feeling "extremely inspired," adding, "Not just because of what I had done, but because of what I had to overcome."

The rocker has spoken about his ink in the past, telling Logan Paul on an Aug. 2024 episode of his Impaulsive podcast that getting a blackout tattoo was "the most excruciating thing" he'd done in his life.

"There was a point where I, like, gave up and I just felt like I was just dying," MGK confessed at the time, noting that he would get tattooed for six or seven hours every single day.

He added that the process felt even worse because his "body was already tattooed" underneath the blackout, "so essentially you're just tattooing over scar tissue."

"There was a point on that table where I just was… I felt my body leave my body. Cause what can you do? You can't stop. You have to finish the job," he said. "I just gave up and gave my body to the Gods and was just like. 'All right, hit me.'"

When visiting The Jennifer Hudson Show last September, MGK said that he wanted to "redesign what the human skin could look like" with the tattoo.

"A friend of mine with Roxx came up with this, but it was the worst torture… I mean, I don't do the going under and numbing and waking up," he said. "I don't do any of that, so I had to thug this out. Big mistake, but my morals stand."

Every Year After, a new Amazon Prime adaptation of Carley Fortune's debut novel Every Summer After, is now streaming.

Fortune is the author of five best-selling romance novels.

Her 2025 book, One Golden Summer, is a sequel to Every Summer After.

Amazon Prime Video is sending our hearts aflutter with the new romance seriesEvery Year After, based on the best-selling novel Every Summer After by Carley Fortune.

Starring Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett, the series tracks the friends-to-enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Persephone "Percy" Fraser and Sam Florek.

Showrunner Amy B. Harris recently told Entertainment Weekly that she has at least five seasons planned for Every Year After, which is destined to make Fortune an even bigger name. It's also one of two upcoming adaptations of her novels.

Fortune has published a total of five books so far, including two set in the same universe. If you're eager to dive in, here's how to read all of her books in order.

01 of 05

Every Summer After (2022)

'Every Summer After'Credit: Berkley

Every Summer After is the novel that started it all. Told over the course of six years (and one weekend), the story follows Percy and Sam, friends who spent every summer together as teens in Barry's Bay until a betrayal tore the once-inseparable duo apart. Now, a decade later, Percy returns to Barry's Bay for a funeral and reconnects with Sam, forcing them to confront their feelings for one another and see if they can overcome the mistake that ended their relationship.

As Fortune's first novel, it makes the most sense to start with Every Summer After. On Instagram, the author herself urged prospective fans to read this one before diving into One Golden Summer, which is set in the same universe, as the latter "will 100% spoil the events of [Every Summer After]."

02 of 05

Meet Me at the Lake (2023)

'Meet Me at the Lake'Credit: courtesy amazon

If you love Before Sunrise (1995) and its sequels, Fortune's second novel is for you. Meet Me at the Lake concerns the excellently named Fern Brookbanks, who met charming artist Will Baxter during a life-changing trip to Toronto in her 20s. Fern and Will fell head over heels in love with each other, and promised to reunite in one year at the end of a perfect day together. Will broke his promise, and Fern has spent the years since thinking about him and what might have been.

Ten years later, Fern is sorting through the mess of running her mom's lakeside resort and dealing with her ex-boyfriend when Will walks back into her life with a conspicuous offer to help.

An adaptation is currently in development at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Archewell Productions company.

This Summer Will Be Different (2024)

Fortune's third novel continues the summertime theme. This Summer Will Be Different centers on Lucy, a florist from Toronto who decides to take a vacation on Prince Edward Island to visit her best friend, Bridget. Lucy meets a handsome oyster shucker and the pair share a steamy night together, but the next day she discovers that he's actually Felix, Bridget's brother. And Bridget is very strict about her friends not dating her brother.

Although Lucy is determined not to hook up with Felix again, the two continue their affair every summer when Lucy visits PEI. When Bridget bails on her wedding and runs off to the island, Lucy follows, leading her right back to Felix.

This Summer Will Be Different is also set for an adaptation, with Netflix Canada recently announcing a 10-episode series.

One Golden Summer (2025)

'One Golden Summer'Credit: Berkley, Penguin Random House

As previously mentioned, Fortune's fourth novel, One Golden Summer,is set in the same universe as Every Summer After and really should be read in publication order. The protagonist of the 2025 novel is a photographer named Alice, who spent one life-changing summer at Barry's Bay, where she took the photo that launched her professional career.

When her grandmother gets injured, Alice decides they should return to Barry's Bay, where she reconnects with one of the subjects of that famous photo — Charlie Florek. Alice and Charlie embark on a slow-burn romance that forces Alice to put her camera down and let herself be vulnerable for once.

Our Perfect Storm (2026)

'Our Perfect Storm'Credit: Berkley Books

Fortune's fifth and most recent novel is Our Perfect Storm. Largely set in scenic Tofino, British Columbia, the story follows Frankie and George, who have been best friends since they were just 8 years old. As adults, they've drifted apart, but on the eve of Frankie's wedding day, George miraculously reappears.

Get your daily dose of entertainment news, celebrity updates, and what to watch with our EW Dispatch newsletter.

Unfortunately, Frankie's fiancé ditches her at the altar — a break-up he announces not to her face, but in a note (cue traumatic flashbacks to Sex and the City's Jack Berger). George proposes that he and Frankie take her planned honeymoon to Tofino, where they spend a week together that forces them to confront their true feelings for each other once and for all.

Paris Hilton and husband Carter Reum share two children.

Her son, Phoenix, was born on Jan. 16, 2023

In November 2023, Hilton announced the birth of her daughter, London

Paris Hilton is an heiress, a DJ and author — and a mom of two!

The media personality tied the knot with entrepreneur Carter Reum in November 2021 in a lavish ceremony at a private estate in Los Angeles. The couple welcomed their first child together, son Phoenix, via surrogate on Jan. 16, 2023. Less than a year later, they expanded their family in November 2023 with their daughter, London.

After welcoming her son, Hilton opened up to PEOPLE in October 2023 about the most surprising part of motherhood. "It's just how much love I could have for someone," she said. "I thought I knew what love was with my husband, but as soon as I met my baby, it's just this love on another level. He has just changed my life in every way."

Hilton has shared plenty of sweet moments with her children on social media, including a peek at London and Phoenix playing in her backyard "doggy mansion" playhouse in June 2026. "You know I built this for you guys before you were born," Hilton said to her kids in an Instagram Reel. "My puppies were my first babies, so that's why it's called the 'Doggy Mansion.' "

From their secret births to the meaning behind their names, here's everything to know about Paris Hilton's kids.

Hilton and Reum welcomed their son Phoenix via surrogate on Jan. 16, 2023.

"It's always been my dream to be a mother and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other," the new mom told PEOPLE. "We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."

In the season 2 premiere of Paris in Love, Hilton opened up about her decision to use a surrogate. "Surrogacy was a difficult decision to make," she said. "I would have loved that experience of growing the baby in your tummy and feeling the kicks and all of those exciting moments, but my life has just been so public. So even though the baby is biologically mine and Carter's, we decided to have a surrogate carry him."

The reality star has also discussed the role her past trauma played in her choice. Hilton told Glamour UK in February 2023 that the sexual abuse she experienced as a teenager at Utah boarding school Provo Canyon School left her afraid of the medical exams that go along with pregnancy.

"I'm just so scared. I think, again, leading back to Provo of even being in a doctor's office, just all of that. The shots, the IVs that they put in," she shared. "But I want a family so bad, it's just the physical part of doing it. I'm just so scared ... childbirth and death are the two things that scare me more than anything in the world."

In an effort to keep her son's birth a secret, Hilton wore a disguise to the hospital and didn't tell anyone about his arrival — including her family. In the season 2 trailer of Paris in Love, the reality star explained that "if anyone found out, it would be paparazzi all over Cedars."

"I've given my whole life to everyone for so long. It's just been really important to me to keep this a secret," she said. "This is the first time that something's just mine."

Hilton waited until a week after Phoenix's birth to share the news with her friends and family. "Not even my mom, my sisters, my best friend knew until he was over a week old," she revealed on her podcast I Am Paris in February 2023. "It was really nice to have that with Carter, be our own journey together. I just feel like my life has been so public, and I've never really had anything be just mine."

The media personality also opened up on her podcast about how she decided on her son's name 10 years ago. "Phoenix has a few good pop culture reference points, but more importantly, it's the bird that flames out and then rises from the ashes to fly again," she said. "I want my son to grow up knowing that disaster and triumph go around and come around throughout our lives. And that this should give us great hope for the future."

As for his middle name, Hilton explained that the moniker is a tribute to her late grandfather, Barron Hilton. "He was always my mentor. I looked up to my grandfather so much, and we were so close, and I miss him every day. So, I really wanted to honor him by having his name in my first son's name," she said.

By the time Phoenix was 6 months old, Hilton shared with PEOPLE that her son was already "really great with flying on the plane" and a "good traveler." She added that she "can't wait until he's a little bigger so I'm able to take him everywhere."

As he's grown, his parents agree that Phoenix closely resembles the reality star. "I saw his eyes the other day and having looked into your eyes so many times, I kind of got chills because that's Paris' eyes," Reum shared in an April 2023 episode of I Am Paris. Hilton added, "His baby photos look exactly like mine."

In October 2023, after several followers left hurtful comments about the size of Phoenix's head on one of Hilton's photos, she replied that her "angel is perfectly healthy" and "just has a large brain." She later issued a statement about the "unacceptable" comments that "deeply" hurt her.

"If I don't post my baby, people assume I'm not a great mother and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful I'm a proud working mom and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic," she said. "I've dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember ... Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters."

At the GQ Men of the Year Awards in November 2023, Hilton opened up to PEOPLE about her special bond with her firstborn. "It's exciting to have this next phase in my life and just to have this little angel who just brightens up my day every morning and this smile melts my heart," she said. "He's my best buddy and I just am obsessed."

She also shared that Phoenix has mastered his first words. "He says, 'Mama.' He says, 'Yes.' He says, 'Dada' too, now," Hilton said. "I felt like the other day when I said, 'I love you, bey.' He said something back to me and it sounded like, 'I love you.' "

The couple welcomed their second child, daughter London, via surrogate in November 2023. Hilton shared the news on Thanksgiving by posting a photo on Instagram of a pink baby outfit with the name London printed across a long-sleeve top. "Thankful for my baby girl🥹🩷👶🏼," she captioned the post.

In July 2023, Hilton alluded to expanding her family when she shared photos of herself with her three nieces and said she was "dreaming of the day" when she would have a daughter. While the Paris in Love star considered telling her mom about expecting London, she ultimately surprised her family on Thanksgiving by walking into her living room holding the newborn.

During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Markin November 2023, Hilton opened up about revealing the baby news to her family.

"It was before the turkey. This was around like 5 o'clock at night and Carter got everyone in the living room," she explained. "He's like, 'Oh, I have a surprise.' Everyone thought a magician was coming, like, 'We have a performer coming in!' "

Hilton added, "Everyone's so excited and then I just walk in carrying a pink blanket with the baby and everybody is sitting there like, 'What?!' "

Though Hilton kept her second baby's arrival a secret, she's always been very open about the name she planned to give her daughter. In a January 2022 appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, the reality star shared the meaning behind her future daughter's moniker.

"The girl is gonna be named London Marilyn Hilton Reum," she said. "Marilyn after my grandmother and London because it's my favorite city and I think Paris and London sound cute together."

After welcoming London, Hilton told PEOPLE that she was "over the moon that our little princess is here" and that her "life just feels so complete" with both her children.

"I am so excited to have our first holidays together," she said. "Thanksgiving was so special, surprising everyone with London and getting to show Phoenix the Christmas tree for the first time. Seeing his eyes light up and seeing the wonder in his eyes, it's such a magical experience. I can't wait for our first Christmas together as a family."

Hilton didn't show her daughter's face on social media until she was 5 months old, but in April 2024, she shared the first photos of London exclusively with PEOPLE. "With Mother's Day around the corner, I couldn't resist introducing the world to my baby girl London and sharing these precious moments of our family together," Hilton told PEOPLE.

She added, "Phoenix and London are everything to me, and I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to be married to the love of my life and have our beautiful family. We make the absolute best team, and my life finally feels complete."

The Carolina Hurricanes made a change in net for Tuesday night's Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Carolina gave rookie Brandon Bussi his first career playoff start as the Hurricanes look to level the series at 2-2 in Las Vegas, with the announcement becoming shortly before the game began.

ESPN reported that Frederik Andersen, who was 12-1 in the team's first three playoff series, is a healthy scratch with no injury designation.

Andersen allowed four second-period goals in Saturday's Game 3 loss. He was replaced at the start of the third period by Bussi, who stopped 18 of 19 shots as the Hurricanes rallied before falling 5-4 in double overtime.

Bussi, 27, was acquired off waivers from the Florida Panthers last October. He entered the season with no NHL experience, but became a critical member of the Hurricanes' goalie rotation, amassing a 31-6-2 record, 2.47 goals-against average and .895 save percentage.

It's been a couple of summers since bubblegum pink became the "it" color that was positively everywhere, but Spain's Queen Letizia made a case today from bringing the rosy shade back this season.

For an event at Zarzuela Palace in Madrid welcoming the Lilly Foundation, the queen chose a head-to-toe monochrome ensemble in a cheery shade of pink. She wore a shirtdress with a V-neck and button front details, accented by a tiered skirt and rolled up sleeve cuffs. Letizia added a pink, rope-style belt and pink ankle-tie wedge espadrilles.

Thought it's only Tuesday, the Spanish queen has already had a busy—and fashionable—week. On Saturday, she, along with her husband King Felipe and their two daughters, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, welcomed Pope Leo XIV to Madridas the pontiff kicked off his six day trip around the country.

The visit marks the first time in over a decade that Spain has received the pope, and Letizia marked the occasion in a white lace dress; a nod to the fact that she is one of only a few women who are allowed the "privilege of the white" granting her the right to appear before the pontiff in white, rather than the traditional black that was donned by her daughters for the event.

The following day, the family attended a special mass alongside the Pope. On that occasion, Letizia once again chose a white ensemble—this time a short-sleeved dress from Kate Middleton's go-to brand Self-Portrait. Despite her creamy shade, as the mass was not a formal audience with the pope, allowing Leonor and Sofia to opt for pastels rather than black; a note the Letziai apparently carried over into today's style.

The 5,000-square-foot home, featured on her HGTV show Christina in the Country, includes six bedrooms, a pool, and a barn

Haack retained ownership of the property after her 2025 divorce from ex Josh Hall following less than three years of marriage

Christina Haack has listed her Tennessee farmhouse that was previously at the center of her contentious divorce from ex Josh Hall for rent.

The Franklin, Tenn., property located in the Leipers Fork neighborhood was listed for rent at $20,000 per month on Tuesday, June 9, according to property records. The 5,000-square-foot abode boasts six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

It was famously featured on Haack's Tennessee-based HGTV spin-off series Christina in the Country, during which her then-husband Hall made regular appearances.

According to the listing, which is currently held by Kelly Dougherty of Onward Real Estate, the property is described as a "furnished rental situated on 23.82 acres of land." Dougherty previously shared an Instagram video showing off the stunning modern farmhouse when Haack first listed it for sale almost two years ago.

The home features a number of impressive amenities, including a three-car garage, screened porch, wood-burning fireplace, storm shelter, pool, hot tub, sauna and a barn with fenced areas for animals.

The HGTV star first shared that she was listing her farmhouse for sale on Oct. 4, 2024 for $4.5 million. However, she'd previously made a temporary legal agreement with Hall that said he could continue living there, as a source previously told PEOPLE he had been doing following their split.

That agreement, filed in September 2024 and reviewed by PEOPLE, stated Hall could use the Tennessee house as long as it was not being rented out.

When Christina first announced that she was listing the property, she took to her Instagram Stories to call out her ex directly in her caption. "I guess 'Leiper's Fork' is gonna have to come off the [Instagram] bio soon," she wrote. "Time to go back to reality."

She officially took the property off the market on Friday, Oct. 25, according to property records. Hall has since vacated the home.

The home has been on and off the market since the fall of 2024 and was most recently taken off the market in February 2025, according to property records.

Hall filed for divorce from Haack in July 2024 following nearly three years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences." The divorce was finalized in August 2025 when a California judge granted the dissolution of their marriage. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE at the time, Haack was given full ownership of her Newport Beach mansion, which serves as her and her kids' primary residence, as well as her Tennessee farmhouse, which she purchased before marrying Hall.

The exes first started dating in March 2021, and they secretly tied the knot in October 2021. They later held an intimate wedding ceremony in Hawaii in September 2022.

Hall was set to be Haack's renovation partner on the HGTV show The Flip Off when it premiered in January 2025. However, as they broke up in the early days of filming, he was removed from the series and is only featured briefly in the first episode.
