Survivor season 37 player Alec Merlino appeared in five episodes of The White Lotus season 1
On the Survivor season 50 finale, White Lotus creator Mike White announced more contestants are headed to the HBO series
The worlds of The White Lotus and Survivor continue to merge.
Mike White, the creator of the HBO hit series, is not only a Survivor superfan but a contestant, having played on season 37 (David vs. Goliath) and season 50, which concluded on May 20.
Since the beginning of The White Lotus, White has brought his fellow Survivor alumni with him to the glamorous resorts, with several former contestants making cameos in the first three seasons.
"I really love the cameos and how he uses people. And I think that, too, speaks to Mike as a person,” Survivor host Jeff Probst told The Hollywood Reporterin August 2025. "He's able to be one of the Hollywood elite, in terms of show creators, but he's also able to do the show with people who are not from Hollywood, and then invite them into his world and say, 'Why don't you come experience what it's like to be on the set of White Lotus for a day?' and, 'I'm going to put you in the seat.' "
During the Survivor season 50 finale, White revealed two more contestants would be making cameos in the upcoming fourth season of The White Lotus.

David vs. Goliath contestant Alec Merlino traded the Fiji beaches for Hawaii, appearing in season 1 of The White Lotus.
Merlino played Hutch, a waiter and bartender at the White Lotus Maui resort. He was featured in five episodes of the first season.
"I was just like, 'Yeah, that sounds cool.' I didn't really know I was getting into," Merlino told Access Hollywood in March 2025, recalling when White asked him to be part of The White Lotus season 1.

Angelina Keeley was another David vs. Goliath alum who made a cameo in The White Lotus season 2 premiere.
In the scene, Daphne (Meghann Fahy) chats with two hotel guests on the beach, one of whom is played by Keeley.
"I was like, 'Mike, you've seen me on Survivor and you've seen the extent of my acting skills — like, are you sure you want me to touch your Emmy-winning global phenomenon show?' " Keeley told Access Hollywood about White asking her to be on the season. "And he's like, 'Yeah, it's going to be fun. Be reach ready!' I was like, 'Oh shoot!' So then I start working out."

Kara Kay appeared alongside Keeley in the season 2 premiere, playing another beach-goer.
"Pretty early on we knew there was American Woman No. 1 and American Woman No. 2. [White] kept saying 'opening scene,' " Kay told Vulturein October 2022. "I was like, 'Maybe we’re in the background, waving, drinking some cocktails.' Then we got a draft of the script and realized, oh we have lines, we’re going to say something. We’re going to be acting."

Natalie Cole and Carl Boudreaux played a couple who are resort guests in The White Lotus season 3.

In a February 2025 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cole explained how she began texting White, congratulating him after his Emmy wins.
"We had conversations, and then he said, 'If I get a season 3, you think you'd come be on it?' " she told Entertainment Weekly. "I said, 'Sure,' but I didn't think he was serious, right? Because Mike did not like me on Fiji."
When White told her that Boudreaux was going to play her husband, Cole thought, "Okay, so there's going to be some humor to this."
"Initially when [White] and I first talked, it was just going to be a cameo, and then when we talked again, he sent me some lines," she continued. "And it was quite a few lines, and then when we got there, he increased the lines even more. I found that pretty interesting, that we went from the cameo to me having several lines, and I thought I was going to be in one episode, and then it went to two episodes."

Carl Boudreaux

Boudreaux played Cole's husband in season 3 of The White Lotus, an experience he spoke about during a February 2025 interview on the RHAP: We Know Scripted TV podcast.
"[Cole] started coaching me. If you know Natalie, you know Natalie is going to be on top of everything, right? She would call me and coach me. 'This is how you gotta say it, Carl,' " he recalled. "Natalie's cool, man. We would talk and she was literally coaching me through my lines. It was crazy, man. It was crazy."
Boudreaux also revealed that he and Cole filmed "for so many different things" during their scene. "I stated lines, I cursed Belinda out, but I don't know if that will make the airwaves," he said.

Christian Hubicki made a quick cameo in episode 5 of season 3.
According to TV Insider, in the scene, Hubicki is among a group of people at the resort. He was seated next to his real-life wife, Emily.

White is busy filming the fourth season of The White Lotus, so he couldn't appear in-person at the Survivor season 50 finale. But he did make a cameo via video call, per Deadline.
During his short screen time, White revealed that two Survivor contestants — Charlie Davis and Kamilla Karthigesu — are going to be in season 4 of The White Lotus.
Davis competed on season 46, while Karthigesu was on season 48. They both returned for season 50.

On the Survivor season 50 finale, White announced that Karthigesu would be in the upcoming season of The White Lotus.
"Everybody’s invited, but there are gonna be two contestants that we’re flying out to be in the show, and they are Charlie and Kamilla," White told Probst during the broadcast, per The Hollywood Reporter.
Karthigesu and Davis join a stacked cast of superstars, including Laura Dern, Steve Coogan, Kumail Nanjiani, Rosie Perez, Heather Graham, Sandra Bernhard and more.
