Yellowstone might be what Taylor Sheridan is best known for on TV, but his work spans beyond the Duttons.
Sheridan has created some of the most talked-about shows of the past decade and for his latest project, he felt the rural Montana countryside calling his name once more. The Madison is said to be "Sheridan's most intimate work to date."
It follows a New York City family after a tragedy threatens to pull them apart. The matriarch, Stacy (Michelle Pfeiffer), reconciles with the fact that she didn't know her husband, Preston (Kurt Russell), as well as she could have. Meanwhile, their daughters, Abigail (Beau Garrett) and Paige (Elle Chapman), rethink their priorities.
The theme of family and heartache is one that runs through Sheridan's different shows, including in the crime sagas Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King, to the Texas-based Landman and Lioness. Now, with The Madison season 1 out and season 2 on the way, there are more series to dive into.
Here are eight Taylor Sheridan shows to watch right now.

The Paramount Network series ran for five seasons beginning in 2018, depicting the tumultuous lives of a multigenerational Montana ranching family led by patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner).
Throughout the series, the Duttons battle aggressive land developers and disputes with the neighboring Broken Rock Indian Reservation, while also grappling with family tensions and political corruption.
Before its jaw-dropping series finale in 2024, Yellowstone had already inspired a number of prequels, spinoffs and sequel series.

1883 is a prequel miniseries that tells the story of how John Dutton's ancestors, James and Margaret Dutton — portrayed by real-life husband-wife duo Tim McGraw and Faith Hill — founded the family ranch.
The Duttons embark on a perilous journey out West, traveling by wagon from Texas to Montana, encountering lawless lands and bloody gunfights along the way. The limited series — which Sheridan created, wrote, produced, and starred in — aired in its entirety from 2021 to 2022.

Landman is based on the Texas Monthly podcast Boomtown, which premiered in 2019.
It chronicles the historical oil boom in West Texas through the eyes of wildcatter Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) and crisis executive Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), whose crew takes over an oil patch in the Permian Basin.
A proud Texan himself, Sheridan filmed a majority of the show in the greater Fort Worth, Texas, area, which also served as a scenic backdrop in Yellowstone and 1883.
