After multiple women revealed the true price they paid working on *The Price Is Right*, the show's executive producer is now breaking his silence on their allegations of sexual harassment and racism.
Roger Dobkowitz, who spent 36 years on the CBS game show hosted by Bob Barker, went scorched earth in a March 29 Facebook post regarding the E! docuseries *Dirty Rotten Scandals*, which he calls "an obvious hit piece."
In the six-part series, several of "Barker's Beauties" spoke out about their negative experiences on the show.
Kathleen Bradley, who became the first full-time Black model on *The Price Is Right *in 1990, recounted the "raging" racism from fans, producers, and even Barker himself. Barbara Hunter, a female producer on the show, also revealed her mistreatment, including a time she was fondled by a male staffer in an elevator.
If anyone complained, added Holly Hallstrom, a prize presenter on the show for two decades, Barker would simply tell them "to get over it or look for a new job."

But now, Dobkowitz says he wants to "defend the dignity and integrity of our great show," which premiered back in 1972. Barker was the original host and retired in 2007 after 35 years on the show. In 2023, he died at the age of 99 following a battle with Alzheimer's.
"This so-called 'expose' makes me realize that there are some people in this world who will happily exaggerate and create falsehoods in order to justify a personal hateful vendetta against a person in order to draw attention to themselves," writes Dobkowitz, 80. "Making the situation worse is the fact that the accused is deceased, and therefore, making it impossible for the accused to defend himself. The adjective 'brave' should never be used in reference to a person attacking a dead person."

Without naming any names, Dobkowitz questions why Barker's accusers can't simply "move on with their lives, especially after court rooms have settled disputes and they are closed."
"When someone feels the compulsion to constantly bring it up for another 30 years," he continues, "is a sign that something could be wrong with their capacity to reason maturely."
Dobkowitz also hints that he may write his own "expose," a memoir from his time on *The Price Is Right* that would "clear up lots of misconceptions and dismiss many wrongful accusations."

"The show was a happy place," he contends, and the envy of others in daytime television. Staff rarely quit and "the dozens of women who were in our repertoire of models came back year after year… The only unhappy people, as would be found in any company, were the ones that didn't get the raise they wanted, the ones that didn't get the promotion they thought they deserved, and the ones that were terminated for not doing their job."

In response to the claims made in the explosive E! documentary, Barker's longtime representative, Roger Neal, denied any allegations of sexual misconduct against Barker or the show in a statement to USA TODAY.
"Barker was and is beloved, and people to this day love him," Neal said. "He was part of the fabric of American pop culture. He was the greatest MC in TV history. I was honored to have represented him."
